Planning a
Trip

Alright, so you would like to go whitewater rafting!
Selecting the perfect river trip for you is fun and easy if you keep it simple!
1. Choose a river to raft: River
Drifters offers a large variety of trips to choose from. If you are simply
looking for a day long escape from the city, we have many to choose from.
Or if you are seeking the ultimate vacation experience on the river, we have the
perfect multi-day trip for every person. If you are six or sixty, a
veteran rafter or a timid first-timer, River Drifters has a trip for you!
Go to the Our Rivers page an select a
trip that suits your needs! Each river page displays important information
including: pricing, weather, camping, lodging, river description and minimum
participation requirements! 2. Grab some
friends to join: Individuals and groups of all kinds are welcome
to raft on any of our trips. Whitewater rafting is an experience that is
hard to top and when you bring along friends, family, co-workers or colleagues,
it just makes the experience that much better! 3.
Pick a day: River Drifters has scheduled trips seven days a week
between April and October (depending on participation). For a list of all
the rivers that we are currently running please
call our
office or
contact us electronically!
April through June is the time to hit one of our spring
rivers. The water is higher meaning more excitement! It also means
wetsuits and warm clothes to stay comfortable (wetsuits, booties, paddle jackets
and helmets provided by River Drifters). In the summer much of that warm
clothing can be traded for shorts and sandals! We have scheduled trips
well into the fall months as well!
 4.
Make
Reservations: Reservations are required to participate in a
whitewater rafting trip with River Drifters. Weekends fill up very quickly
and sometimes up to a year in advance. If you are planning on a weekend
river trip, then you must
contact us as soon as
possible to determine if there is available space. Midweek
rafting trips are less crowded and much easier to find available trip
space. Some people even find space available to raft the following day
that they call. As a general rule, midweek or weekend, you do want to make
a reservation as soon as you know the desired day, this will ensure your groups'
space and its' one less thing that you have to coordinate later! To
make a reservation you may call 1-800-972-0430
and speak with a rafting specialist to assist in the selection, reservation and
question process. You may make a reservations
online or purchase gift
certificates!
