White Salmon Rafting
White Salmon rafting trips are one of the best-kept recreation secrets of
the Pacific
Northwest. You can unravel the secrets and experience the unbridled joy of a
river rafting adventure with our White Salmon rafting services. River
Drifters takes pride in offering you the best White Salmon rafting
experience at a price that is too low to resist. The White Salmon River is
located 90 minutes from the Portland/Vancouver area. This river offers some
of the best class III-IV rapids around and the glaciers of Mount Adams combined with the immense
aquifers in the area, keep the White Salmon River bubbling all summer long.
The White Salmon River winds it’s way
through one of the most beautiful and heavily forested gorges around. The
water is soothing, the weather is appealing and the rapids are big. All of
this makes the White Salmon River a favorite rafting spot. We arrange
half-day trips on the White Salmon River. In the spring, the river tumbles
and charges it’s way down a narrow basalt
canyon. This is an amazing experience.
With rapids like Maytag, Corner Cave, Grasshopper, Siwash,
Corkscrew, Waterspout, Stairstep, Highway Hole, Rattlesnake, and Deadmans'
Corner, you can absolutely enjoy every moment of your rafting experience.
We offer our White Salmon rafting services at a price that is too low to
resist with the best quality at all times. The water levels in the White
Salmon River become lower and make your trip more enjoyable when the spring
days run long and the snow begins to melt. This is when we change our trip
dynamics a bit by launching 2 miles upstream, beyond the normal commercial
launch, to begin our trip deep in the canyon. By launching upstream, we add
2 more miles of class IV water to the trek, including rapids like S-turn,
Top-Drop, The Flume and Bombers' Drop..
We take great pride in offering you a memorable White Salmon rafting
experience by concluding the trip with the grand finale, Husum Falls. You must meet certain age
guidelines to paddle this optional drop. A White Salmon rafting trip is
available for a family with kids older than 12 (in May and June) and older
than 8 (in July, August and September). If you have kids under these ages
you should consider a Deschutes River rafting trip that is more
suitable for kids. If you do have kids that fall within the age limits or
you do not drink, we welcome you with open arms to come indulge yourself
with a great lunch or dinner and an atmosphere that is simply fabulous.
River Drifters is the only rafting company that has the privilege to offer
such an outstanding trip with a perfect ending. We also offer you all the
necessary gear to stay warm and comfortable on your adventure, such as
wetsuits, paddle jackets and helmets. Feel free to contact us today for
detailed information about our White Salmon rafting trips.
