White Salmon River Rafting
As it flows south from Mount Adams to the Columbia River Gorge;
the White Salmon River can make your adrenaline rush as you move through a
picturesque canyon. White Salmon River rafting trips are more than a
leisurely float in the calm water. A White Salmon River rafting experience is
a progression of class two, three and four rapids, interspersed with quiet
pools and delicate waterfalls. While most Pacific Northwest white water rivers are reduced
to a late summer trickle, the spring-fed White Salmon River maintains a vigorous
base of water which is always suitable for rafting. Come to experience the
beauty of nature with us as you raft in the While Salmon River. The water
is clear, the weather is great and rapids are big. All this makes the White
Salmon River loved by all rafters. We arrange half-day trips on the White
Salmon River. During the spring, this river tumbles and charges down a
narrow basalt canyon which is wonderful to experience up close.
With rapids like Maytag, Corner Cave, Grasshopper, Siwash,
Corkscrew, Waterspout, Stairstep, Highway Hole, Rattlesnake, and Deadmans' Corner,
you can enjoy every moment of your White Salmon River rafting trip. We
offer our White Salmon river rafting trips at a low price, without compromising
on the quality of our service. As the water levels in the White Salmon
River become lower, your rafting experience is more enjoyable. When the spring
days last longer and the snow begins to recede we shift our trip dynamics a
bit. We launch 2 miles upstream, beyond the normal commercial launch, to
begin our trip deep in the canyon. By launching upstream, we add 2 more
miles of class IV water (including rapids like S-turn, Top-Drop, The Flume,
and Bombers' Drop). We take immense pride in offering you a memorable White
Salmon River rafting experience, concluding the trip with the grand finale
of Husum Falls.
You must meet certain age guidelines to paddle this optional drop. The White
Salmon River rafting trip is available to children older than 12 (in May
and June) and older than 8 (in July, August and September). If you have
kids under these ages you should consider a Deschutes River trip. If you do have kids that
fall within these age categories or you do not drink, we welcome you with
open arms to come indulge yourself with a great lunch or dinner and an
atmosphere that is simply fabulous. River Drifters is the only rafting
company that has the privilege to offer such an outstanding trip with a
perfect ending. We also offer all the necessary gear (such as wetsuits,
paddle jackets and helmets) to stay warm and comfortable on your adventure.
